This page describes how information is handled when you spend time on this website. I’ve tried to write it the way I write recipes: clearly, step by step, and without anything unnecessary. By browsing here, you agree to what follows.
What I Collect
Not much. Reading recipes doesn’t require an account, and I don’t ask for personal details to view any page. Information can still arrive in a few ways.
Details you send
If you use the contact form or leave a comment where comments are turned on, I receive what you type, which may include your name, email address, and message. I use it to read what you wrote and respond.
Details your browser shares
Every visit passes along some routine technical information, such as:
- An IP address and a rough idea of where you are.
- Your browser type, device, and system.
- The recipes and pages you open.
- How you reached the site.
What It’s For
Technical details show me which recipes people enjoy, which pages are slow, and whether something is broken. They also help protect the site against spam and misuse. I don’t build personal profiles of readers, and I don’t use this information to make decisions about anyone.
Cookies
This site uses a few cookies, which are tiny files stored by your browser. They keep pages working properly and remember simple choices. Your browser lets you refuse or clear them whenever you wish, and most of the site should keep working either way.
Sharing
I don’t sell, rent, or swap your information. I would share it only if a legal requirement demanded it, or if it were necessary to protect readers or the website from harm.
Comments
Anything you post in a public comment can be seen by other visitors. Please avoid adding private details such as your phone number, home address, or financial information.
Safety
I keep the website software updated and use sensible precautions to guard the information I hold. Even so, no online service is completely risk-free, so I can’t promise perfect protection.
Storage
Messages are kept only as long as they’re useful for responding to you or required by law. After that, they’re deleted.
Links to Other Places
Now and then a recipe may link to another website, perhaps for an ingredient or a kitchen tool. Those sites follow their own privacy rules, which I don’t control, so read them before sharing anything.
Younger Readers
This website is aimed at adults. Children under 13 shouldn’t send personal details through it, and if I learn that one has, I’ll remove the information promptly.
Your Choices
You can ask what information I hold about you, request a correction, or ask me to delete it. Just use the contact page to get in touch.
Changes
I may adjust this policy occasionally. The current version will always be on this page, and continuing to use the website after a change means you accept it.
